2025 Assessment Roll Open

*UPDATE* The appeal period for 2025 is now closed.

Notice is hereby given that the assessment roll for the R.M. of Excel No. 71 for the year 2025 has been prepared and is open to inspection in the office of the assessor from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the following days:

Monday to Friday – April 11 to June 11, 2025

A bylaw pursuant to section 214 of The Municipalities Act has been passed and the assessment notices have been sent as required.

Any person wishing to discuss the notice of assessment or potential appeal may contact the assessor at: The Assessor, R.M. of Excel No. 71, Box 100 Viceroy, SK S0H 4H0.

A notice of appeal, accompanied by a $30 appeal fee, which will be returned if the appeal is successful, must be filed with: the Secretary of the Board of Revision Nicolle Hoskins, Western Municipal Consulting Ltd., Box 149 Meota, SK S0M 1X0, by the 11th day of June, 2025.

Custom Work

Ratepayers can request custom work be completed by the municipal crew at rates set by council in December of the preceding year. Contact the office or foreman to be added to the list of work. Locates MUST be obtained by the requesting party, when applicable, prior to any work being completed. Dirt work must be requested by November 1st for that year. The municipal crew WILL NOT demolish buildings or change the natural course of water flow such as fill in water runs.

Laneway Grading & Mowing

Private laneways within the municipality can receive two gradings and one mow for free each year as requested whenever the operator is in the area. Contact the office or foreman to request either of these services each year.

Request Gravel

Ratepayers are able to receive loads of gravel (20 yards per load) hauled to their yard each year. Contact the office by June 15th in any given year to be added to the list. This must be requested each spring if it is desired.
